John Boyle
cameraman / script writer / producer / narrator
John Boyle is acknowledged as one of the planet’s most experienced underwater cameramen. He even wrote the definitive book on underwater filming. John writes for a number of marine based magazines and his book on Somali pirates sold successfully worldwide. An accomplished seaman he has taken his boat from Africa to the Arctic and circumnavigated the British Isles which trips he documented in series of films and feature articles.
Fionn Crow
cameraman / editor / drone operator
Fionn Crow has worked with John for 20 years. He is a creative cameraman and is an experienced CAA certified drone pilot. He is also our principal editor. His camera skills are much sought after and he has filmed top musical performers including Elton John, Van Morrison and Lionel Richie
Harry Corden-Lloyd
cameraman / editor
Harry has joined our team at Crow Creative as a cameraman, editor and assistant, bringing his creativity and enthusiasm to every project. As part of his internship with us he will be working with our team on a variety of different projects. A recent graduate from Marine and Natural History Photography, he fits in well. Harry is also a keen diver, surfer, and generally loves being in the ocean.
We draw on the expertise of our sister company Crow Creative, for additional camera operators, editors, graphics and colour grading. We also have a pool of freelance animators, musicians and other industry experts with whom we work on a regular basis.
Equipment
You can hire either or both of us for water or land based filming, editing, script writing or narrating. Or just hire our equipment. We have three edit suites with Adobe Premiere Pro and Industry Standard Colour Grading setup using DeVinci Resolve. We have a Sony FX6, a Sony A7sIII, Ronin Gimbal System, DJI OSMO which is also 4K, lights and sound equipment including a Sennheiser ME66.
For getting underwater we have a Subal Housing for the Sony FS7 and an Aquatica housing for the Sony A7sII, Green Force Squid lights, Keldan Video 8M Lights a GoPro 3+ Black with various poles handles and mounts.
We can also get into the air with our DJI Mavic 4 Pro and a DJI Mini 3 Pro.
We are both HSE certified. We have a 7 metre RIB and a 12 metre motor cruiser available for water based projects.
